Meyrick Bennett Park

Look out the next time you visit Meyrick Bennett Park – the playground equipment has been completely refurbished, bringing fresh energy and colour to this beloved community space.

It wasn't too long ago that we shared news and the views of Meyrick Bennett Park Champion Bev Campbell. We're pleased to update you that the Pigeon Valley UIP team has been hard at work maintaining the park. Broken benches and bin lids have been repaired, and the playground has received a full makeover. Where possible, we prioritise repairing equipment rather than replacing it, helping us maintain the park sustainably while keeping facilities comfortable and functional for all park visitors.

These improvements ensure the park remains a clean, welcoming space for our community to enjoy.

Bev Campbell shares:

"Meyrick Bennett Park has always been a place where people come to unwind, connect, and feel part of something bigger than themselves. It has always been more than just a green space. It's the heart of our community. The new playground has brought fresh energy and joy, with families gathering once again to enjoy the outdoors together. Seeing people enjoying this space, having picnics in the park, and children laughing and having fun reminds me of why this shared space matters so deeply. It's proof of what's possible when we care for and invest in our neighbourhood."

"An added gem is our mural of the Black Sparrowhawk created by well-known artist Giffy. This bird nests in the park annually in the forest cabbage tree, and his mural adds to the beauty of Meyrick Bennett Park."
